Eid - Ul - Adha Qurbani Project-2024

A Qurbani meat distribution was successfully conducted in Barju on June 18, 2024. Forty-four underprivileged families benefited from the initiative. Each family received a meat package, providing much-needed support. The project was organized and executed smoothly with the active participation of local volunteers. Their dedication was instrumental in reaching out to the intended beneficiaries. This initiative reflects the community’s spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility.

Winter Clothing Distribution – Spreading Warmth and Care

On December 20, 2023, Shahida Welfare Society (SWS) distributed winter clothing to those in need in Barju. A total of 30 individuals received a set of two-piece warm clothes to help them stay comfortable during the cold season. This initiative was part of SWS’s ongoing efforts to support underprivileged communities. We remain committed to bringing warmth and relief to those facing harsh winters.

Eid - Ul - Adha Qurbani Project-2023

Shahida Welfare Society celebrated the auspicious day of Eid-Al-Adha by sharing the love across the people. We distributed the meat packages to about 40 people. They were really grateful to receive. Eid-ul-Azha is a major religious festival that brings unique pleasure to the Muslims but its divine purpose is not served at all if the poor remain deprived of their share in the sacrificial meat. The main aim of this Eid is one’s willingness to sacrifice, to please Allah and to enable the poor eat meat as a matter of their right and not as charity.

Eid Ul Fitr Project

SWS celebrated Eid-Ul-Fitr by sharing the joy of the festival with orphans and low-income families in Barju. Nearly 40 beneficiaries received cash gifts, enabling them to buy clothes and food for the occasion. This project aimed to ensure that everyone could experience the happiness of Eid with dignity and pride.

Winter Relief for the Needy – 2020

During the harsh winter of 2020, Shahida Welfare Society responded to the extreme cold waves in Telkuwa, bare, and Kathmandu, where temperatures dropped below 7°C, leaving many vulnerable individuals at risk.

Senior citizens, widows, and the most needy were among the 163 beneficiaries who received essential winter supplies. Each package included two blankets, a jacket, and a woolen shawl to help combat the severe cold. This initiative aimed to protect lives and bring warmth to those without proper housing or clothing during the challenging winter months.
